Shaykh M .Yaqoubi

Born in Damascus, Shaykh Muhammad descends from a family whose lineage goes back to the Prophet, salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, through his grandson Sayyiduna al-Hasan, radiya Allahu ‘anhu. His ancestors also include some of the greatest scholars of Syria. His father, Shaykh Ibrahim al-Ya’qoubi (d. 1985/1406 H.), was one of the greatest scholars Syria saw in the past 50 years.

As a little boy, Shaykh Muhammad crawled in the Grand Umayyad Mosque and the Darwishiyya Mosque, where his father was an instructor for 40 years, and sat in the laps of some of the greatest scholars. Under his father’s tutelage, Shaykh Muhammad followed a solid traditional curriculum since the age of four, studying the major classical works on the various disciplines of the Shari’ah as well as the instrumental disciplines. He received ijazas in Hadith from several of the most prominent scholars in Syria.

Shaykh Muhammad pursued his academic studies at the University of Damascus, Faculty of Shari’ah. He also received a degree in Arabic literature in 1987 and completed a two-year study of philosophy at the Arab University of Beirut. In 1991, Shaykh Muhammad joined the PhD program of linguistics at Gothenburg University in Sweden, Department of Oriental Studies, where he also worked as a researcher and a teacher of classical Arabic literature. He worked in Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah in Kuwait in 1990 as Research Editor and later as Assistant Director for Research and Studies.

In Sweden, Shaykh Muhammad served the Muslim community of Gothenburg as Imam, where he struggled for the establishment of Islam in the country. In 1999, the Swedish Islamic society in Stockholm chose him as the Mufti of Sweden. Besides working in Syria and Sweden, Shaykh Muhammad participated in conferences, delivered lectures, and gave Friday speeches in the Middle East, Europe, Canada, and the United States. Shaykh Muhammad taught his first class at the age of eleven in Qura’an and Tajweed, delivered his first public speeches at the age of twelve, and gave his first Friday khutba at the age of fourteen and a half.

Geography :The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is about 1,969,000 km2 occupying four-fifths of the Arabian Peninsula. It is the tenth largest country covering 1.64% of the land area of the world, and 8% of the land area of Asia.

The Kingdom extends from 32º 12′ N latitude on the Jordanian border in the north to 16º 00′ N at the Yemeni border in the south. It is bounded by the Red Sea in the west and the Arabian Gulf in the east.

Western Saudi Arabia is dominated by a mountain chain running the entire length of the country, known as the Hijjaz and Asir mountains. It runs parallel to the Red sea and rises to between 1300 – 3000 m. above the Tihamah coastal plain to its west. The flat coastal plain along the edge of the Red sea is hot and humid with temperature reaching 45º C in the shade during the summer months, with 90% relative humidity. The winter is considerably cooler but due to the relative warmth of the sea, it is never cold. From this fertile crest it falls towards the east as a desert plateau to the dry interior or the Najd containing the Dahna and Nafud which extends to the great sand desert of the Rub Al Khali (The Empty Quarter). From the Dahna dunes to the east coast the terrain alternate between rocky outcrops and gravel plains. The eastern region lies on the Arabian Gulf coast and contains salt flats (sabkhahs). There are many artesian wells along the coast which are used to irrigate large areas under cultivation around Hofuf and Qatif.

Narrated Ibn ‘Umar(r): The Prophet said, “O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Sham! O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Yemen.” The People said, “And also on our NAJD.” He said, “O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Sham (north)! O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Yemen.” The people said, “O Allah’s Apostle! And also on our NAJD.” I think the third time the Prophet said, “There (in NAJD) is the place of earthquakes and afflictions and from there comes out the side of the head of Satan.”

Sahi Bukhari (Book #88, Hadith #214)

It can be deduced from the above Hadith that Najd is neither blessed nor a good place but one of Fitna and Evil. Najd has been deprived of the prayers of the Holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) and therefore Najd has the seal of misery and misfortune and hoping for any good from there is going against the Will of Allah.

brother an unbeliever, it returns (at least) to one of them.

Hadith Sahi Muslim

(Book #001, Hadith #0116)

Imam and Hafiz of hadith Abu Yala (Rh) narrates a hadith in his Musnad with the chain going back to the companion of prophet , Sayyedina Huzaifa (rd) that the prophet of Allah ( saw ) said Verily, I fear about a man from you who will read the Quran so much that his face will become enlightened and will come to personify Islam. This will continue until Allah wishes when these things will be taken away from him

when he will disregard them by putting them all behind him and attack his neighbour with the sword accusing him of Shirk. The Prophet(saw) was asked ‘Which of the two was commiting Shirk? The attacker or the attacked?’ The prophet(saw) replied ‘The attacker (the one accusing the other of Shirk).”

The classification of this Hadith is Jayyid.( Strong)

Imam Ibn Kathir (Rh)  recorded this hadith in his Tafsir of Quran under Surah Al-Araf.

That is the fastest way for a Muslim to leave Islam is to call his fellow Muslims as KAFIR OR MUSHRIK , so according to the above hadith of Prophet if you call your Muslim brother Kafir and Mushrik you yourself will become a KAFIR IN LESS THAN FEW SECONDS

In his book Kashful al-Shubuhat, Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab Najdi called all Muslims, with the exception of his followers, idolaters

about 24 times. Other labels he used to describe them were : heretics, idols’ worshippers apostates, anti-divine unity, enemies of

divine unity, Allah’s enemies and perfidious Muslims in 20 different parts of the same book. His followers copied him in this

practice.
